Brennan Johnson’s future lies in London, but where exactly remains uncertain.
BBC Sport’s Sami Mokbel reports Crystal Palace has agreed to a £35 million transfer fee with Tottenham Hotspur for the Wales winger and Johnson must now decide if he wants to join the Eagles.
The European transfer window reopens on Thursday.
A 24-year-old native of Nottingham, England, Johnson joined Spurs from boyhood club Nottingham Forest in 2023 in a £47.5 million move. He has 18 goals in 80 appearances across three seasons for Spurs. After an 11-goal performance last term, Johnson has notched just two in 16 Premier League games in 2025-2026, having started only six of them under new manager Thomas Frank.
While the fee has been agreed with Palace, Mokbel notes that other clubs remain interested in Johnson and that could affect his calculus.
Spurs sit 11th in the table through 18 matches on 25 points, seven behind Liverpool for the final Champions League spot. They return to action on Thursday with a visit to eighth-place Brentford.
